What's in Your House?
There are some people out there that seriously are in desperate need of SALVATION, CONNECTION, and RELATIONSHIP with the Father as well as the Son. As I was at home thinking on today, just random thoughts which I might add are not always safe, I heard the Lord say, “What’s in your House” I instantly knew that He was not only talking about the place where I live and nurture my Family, but the place Where He lives constantly and the upkeep is been lacking.
I am guilty myself of not doing the things that God has set out for me to do. My prayer life had been slipping, as well as my fasting and it showed every time I would open my mouth. The time that
I used to spend in my Word had taken a turn for the worse. It’s like the Old Testament Prophets they preached and preached and still the same few chose to listen and the many sinners continued to sin. My character and my integrity had lost its flare and I felt like giving up because of all the other things that had occupied my house, my temple, the Lord’s dwelling place. But, the God that we serve is so gracious in His mercy and His grace that He always has sufficient enough to give to whom it is needed.
So what is occupying your house? Is it past hurts that has you locked in so deep that trust is out of the question for any one including God? Is it love ones that have battered, abused and misused you to you have nothing else to give? Is it the Church, because things didn’t go your way and you didn’t give God tome to work things out before you up and left? Or is it you?
If you find yourself in any of these questions then you need to check your house. Check what you are allowing to go into it and whom you are allowing to speak into it. Check your circumstances as well as your situations; check your stability as well as your instability. A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. The best thing I did in life was to ask God to show me, ME! When He did that I was not pleased with how I had allowed myself to drift so far from His presence, to find out that He had been reaching out to me the whole time and because the scales had not been removed from my eyes and my hears could not hear His voice. It hurt to know that the God that I served was right there the whole time and I didn’t know.
I can’t explain why God is leading me in this direction, but I can tell you that I am not the only one that He is pulling on and tugging on. Rest assure that your sleepless nights are not in vain. You are scribing more than ever and the burdens are getting heavier and heavier. There has been a demand placed on the anointing that God has graciously placed in your life and because of it causes you to think the unthinkable, believe the unbelievable. Do the impossible your House can not stay the same. What has been familiar to it to be fed and get fill is calling for more. What use to nourish it has to be upgraded, everything in your life has to be.
There will be a falling away of what is right but you stand firm and
build your house on a solid foundation that God is establishing not yourself. Even when the Word seems to feel like it has not meaning it will sustain and keep you. Know that He is God and He is your witness. So I ask you again what’s, and who is in your house?
